On Kettle, every luxury watch tells a unique story.
As Kettle expands to Blast, every watch trader will be able to follow along their journey by tracking their points balance.
Kettle will redistribute 100% of its Blast Points & Gold allocation back to the community, based on your standing on the Kettle Leaderboard.
Users will be rewarded with early activity over the course of Season 1, as all Kettle activity will be awarded with a 2x points multiplier.
Not all watches were created equal. Each watch is marked with a Daily Points Award — the rarer the watch, the more you can earn.
Just by holding a watch in your wallet, you earn points every day. The more watches, the more points.
Listing your watch for sale, or with loan terms, will result in a daily points boost. You’ll be awarded with a one-time bonus if you re-sell, borrow, or redeem your watch from the vault.
Even if you don’t own a watch, you can still earn. You’ll be awarded for placing competitive bids, competitive loan offers, with an added bonus if any of your offers get accepted. If you want to skip the line and go for the “Buy It Now” price, that works, too.
Referring other users, engaging on social media, or utilizing some custom features, like ringing the Kettle Concierge, will count toward points as well.
Our Genesis Watch Drop will kick off Kettle Season 1, where 25 luxury watches will be minted onto the blockchain (backed 1:1 with watches in the Kettle Vault and redeemable at any time).
All users who “mint” a Genesis NFT, or are holding a Genesis NFT in their wallet at the end of Season 1, will unlock special access to some exciting things we have planned for Season 2.
Our goal is to reward the users who have been with us since Day 1. We are always watching and maintain the ability to manually apply points bonuses for loyal members of our community.
And by the way, this is not our first rodeo. We have algorithmic measures to detect attempts to game the system, plus our team will be monitoring for signs of wash trading. If you get caught, your Points Balance will reset to 0.
How Kettle Points will be put to use is a conversation for another day. But just remember, we are only getting started.
